I've been thinking about high availability with regards to Enterprise Vault for a few weeks now. A long time ago, in a far away place, there was a whitepaper which described some of the techniques that people can employ to make Enterprise Vault highly available.
I couldn't find the whitepaper on the Symantec web site any longer, but I did find a copy here.
Essentially the whitepaper talks about :
* Building blocks + Update Service Locations
* Veritas Cluster Server
* Microsoft Clustering
All of these of course have their pro's and con's. One thing that they do miss out on a little bit is the 'data' side of things. The Vault Store Partition data in particular. One of the options available for that is EVnearSync from QUADROtech which I have worked with for a little while now.
Do you do specific things to make Enterprise Vault offer high availability?
